As a part of the internal assessment process of the Interdisciplinary course ‘Gender, School and Society’, the Student Council and the Women Development Cell has organised a ‘Poster Competition’ on Gender Issues. The programme was conducted on November 6, 2017 at the College Auditorium. Students from F.Y.B. Ed and S.Y.B. Ed have taken part in the competition.  The various themes selected for the competition are as follows:

  1. Gender Equality
  2. Gender Stereotyping
  3. Gender Bias
  4. POCSO ACT, 2012
  5. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE ACT, 2005

The programme was organised in the morning session (11am – 2pm). Students were instructed to bring canvas, colours and other materials required for making posters. Code numbers were distributed to the students. The progamme began with the assembly. General instructions were given post assembly. The time allotted for making posters was two hours.

The posters were kept on display in the college auditorium for an exhibition. Emojies of ‘smiley’ were distributed to the people who came to watch the exhibition and were asked to stick it on the posters they liked.

The posters were judged based on the following criteria: creativity, colour combination, slogan, justification of the theme and presentation. The winners of the competition are as follows:

Dr. Asha A.K. and Ms.  Rakhi Sawlane was the Faculty-in- charge of the competition. All the students who have participated in the creative session of poster making portrayed their concepts into the canvas in an enthusiastic, energetic and innovative way. It paved the way for re-living the old school days where they dealt with colours, drawings etc.
