RUMI CARE is a mass vaccination drive for one and all and is an initiative of Healthcare Initiative of Help Yourself Foundation
With a second wave of the COVID-19 virus threatening a large number of Indian population, it is important that the availability of vaccination be increased to cover the maximum population and to prevent the spike in Coronavirus cases.
Thus once again, under the visionary leadership of our Honourable President – Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi & our Honourable Director, – Advocate Mrs. Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi; Rizvi Group’s Help Yourself Foundation in association with Rizvi Education Society has organised the “Rumi Care – Vaccination Drive for COVID-19”
This Mass vaccination Drive allows teachers and student community along with their dependents (nos. 02) to register for covid-19 vaccine COVISHIELD. The vaccination Drive is also open to the community.

“Rumi Care Vaccination Drive for COVID-19 is being organised by Help Yourself Foundation in association with Rizvi Education Society on 19, 20, 26 and 27th June, 2021. The Drive was strongly supported by the youth Icon Shri. Adtiya Thackeray and many prominent leaders. Here is a glimpse of the first 2 days of happy soldiers protecting people around them by taking the “JAB”. “Family gives you the roots to stand tall and strong”, HYF and Rizvi Education Society strongly reiterated this by organising this drive for family members of policemen on 19th June 2021. On Day 2 the Vaccine was open for its beloved students, staff, their families and the community on the whole.”
The third day of the vaccination drive i.e. 26th June, 2021, there were freevaccines made available for the Cardinal Gracious Missionaries (Mother Teresa’s Missionaries of Charity). Apart from them, it was open for the community people. The drive started at 10.00 am in the morning.
The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest of the event Ms. Zakia Wardak along with Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Director Adv.(Mrs.) Rubina Akhtar Rizvi. Eminent personalities graced the occasion with their presence and support. The guest of honor were Ms. Zakia Wardak (Consulate General of the Islamic group Afghanistan, Mumbai) Shri Mangesh Kudalkar (MLA, Kurla) Mr. Waris Pathan (Indian Politican & Lawyer), Shri Zeeshan Siddique (MLA, Bandra-W, National congress), Mr. Rafi, Dr. Khalid Shaikh, Mr. Sajid Patel (NCP, Yuva Morcha President-Thane).
The last day of the drive 27th June, 2021 was scheduled free for the Drishti Foundation, Salvation Army and We The People Foundation. The drive started at 10.00 a.m.
On the last day i.e. the 27th of June, 2021, the Guest of Honour was Smt. Sharmila Tai Thackeray (wife of Raj Thackeray, politician and businesswoman), Smt. Ritatai Gupta (General Secretary, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena), Shri Bala Nandgaonkar (Member of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly), Dr. Anup Chaudhari (Nephrologist, Nanavati Hospital), Mr. Harsh Gupta, Mrs. Gazala Waris Pathan (Wife of Adv.Waris Pathan Ex M.L.A. and National spokesperson of Aimim), Mr. Haji Saif Shaikh (Vice President of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena)
The other guests included Dr. Hemal Barchha (Counselor), Dr.(Mrs.)Trupti Barchha (Counselor), RJ. Kanchan, Ms.Sherlyn Chopra (actress), Ms.Poonam Pandey (actress), Ms.Payal Ghosh (actress) , Mr. Adnan-Aman (Tiktokers).
Help Yourself Foundation is a charitable non commercial entity that has been founded with a vision of helping the Society. It is a medium to provide remedy and help to women and children of the minority sector. The NGO was founded by Rizvi Group’s President Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Director Adv. (Mrs.) Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi. The vaccination drive is a part of the ‘Rumi Care’.A Health care initiative of Help Yourself Foundation and intends to get maximum number of people vaccinated against the Covid-19 pandemic and is working for the cause of nation with this objective, the drive has also been organized to vaccinate all the teaching staff and students of Rizvi College along with local community members.
All the four days of the drive was successful as many people got vaccinated, which included Mumbai Police family, staff, students, social community and people with disabilities. All because of the efforts and support of our President Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi and Director Adv. (Mrs.) Rubina Akhtar Hasan Rizvi who came forward to help others during this tough time and make the Society safe and healthy.
