The capacity to recognize one’s own emotions as well as others and to manage them appropriately contributes immensely towards leadership effectiveness and success in life. Teachers who take up the role of leaders in classrooms need to be trained professionally to better understand what underlies their motivations and behaviors; to understand students’ emotions; to improve teacher-student relationships and for effective teaching. Keeping this in view the college every year organizes a workshop on ‘Emotional Intelligence’. This workshop is led by Fr. Dr. Clifton Lobo who conducts similar workshops for people in different settings.
