CONSTITUTION OF THE EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES CELL (EOC)
Rizvi Education Societys Rizvi College of Education is committed to fostering an inclusive academic environment where all students, faculty, and staff are provided with equal opportunities, regardless of their social, economic, cultural, gender, or physical backgrounds. In alignment with the Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4) and the National Education Policy (NEP 2020), which emphasize equity and inclusion in education, the college has established the Equal Opportunities Cell (EOC) on 5th February, 2025 to ensure social inclusion and equity in higher education.
OBJECTIVES
Ensuring Equal Access: To oversee the implementation of policies that ensure equity and accessibility in education for all students, including marginalized and disadvantaged groups such as SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), women, religious minorities, and persons with disabilities.
Eliminating Discrimination: To create an inclusive environment by addressing issues related to discrimination, exclusion, and bias.
Guidance and Support: To provide academic, financial, social, and psychological support to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.
Awareness and Sensitization:To conduct programs that sensitize students and faculty on the issues and challenges faced by underrepresented groups.
Grievance Redressal: To address grievances and concerns related to discrimination and ensure a fair and just academic environment.
Policy Advocacy: To advocate for institutional policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
Coordination with Government and NGOs: To collaborate with government bodies and non-governmental organizations for resources and program implementation.
