Rizvi College of Education is enrolled under the Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE), University of Mumbai for the academic year 2025–2026, with the objective of promoting social responsibility, community engagement, and experiential learning among student teachers. DLLE programmes provide learners with opportunities for practical exposure beyond the classroom, fostering leadership skills, environmental sensitivity, civic awareness, and professional readiness.


As per DLLE guidelines and curricular relevance, the college opted for the following extension projects:

  • Anna Poorna Yojana (APY) for F.Y. B.Ed
  • Environment Education (EE) for S.Y. B.Ed

  • To effectively implement these projects, the following extension activities were conducted:

  • Organizing and conducting 1st and 2nd Term Extension Work Training for enrolled students of allotted colleges.
  • Orientation of students to Extension Work, highlighting DLLE objectives and community engagement.
  • Registration of students under DLLE for the academic year 2025–2026.
  • Enrolment of students in APY and EE projects as per their respective year of study.
  • Preparation of students for the UDAAN Festival, including participation in street plays, poster competitions, Powada singing, and creative writing.
  • Coordination with Field Coordinators for effective execution of 1st and 2nd Term extension visits.
  • Organization of APY stall displays for school students, community members, staff, and college students to create awareness on food security and social welfare.
  • Conduct of various Environment Education activities, including tree plantation, fire station visit, and donation drives (newspapers, e-waste, clothes, and scrap) in collaboration with MESCO under the Environment Club, Eco-Pledge “My Promise to the Planet”, beach cleaning drive, and participation in the “Go Green” themed Marathon – SARMCAM 7th Edition.
