CONSTITUTION OF THE INCLUSIVE EDUCATION CELL 2023 - 2024
The Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG-4) adopted by India in 2015, works to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all by 2030.
To achieve this, the National Education Policy (NEP 2020) formulated one of its aims as to provide inclusive and equitable quality education and encourage lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. Working towards this goal of Inclusive Education - Learning for All, Rizvi Education Societys Rizvi College of Education has set up an INCLUSIVE EDUCATION CELL (IEC) on 15th January, 2024.
Objectives of Inclusive Education Center (IEC)
Promotion of Awareness and Understanding: To foster awareness and comprehension of inclusive education principles and practices among student teachers.
Enhanced Learning Opportunities: To provide learning opportunities for understanding the characteristics and diverse educational needs of Children With Special Needs (CWSN).
Addressing Issues and Recommendations: To create awareness among student teachers regarding issues and recommendations for the inclusion of all children, including those with disabilities.
Skill Development for Future Teachers: To equip future teachers with the requisite knowledge and skills to effectively teach students with diverse learning needs.
Support and Resources: To offer support and resources to student teachers for implementing inclusive practices in their future classrooms.
Cultivating Diversity and Inclusion: To foster a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within teacher training colleges.
Research and Evaluation: To conduct research and evaluation to enhance the effectiveness of inclusive education training programs in teacher training colleges.
Advocacy for Policy Changes: To advocate for policy changes and systemic improvements to support inclusive education practices in schools and communities.
